Research Rotation (1 month)

  1. At the Conclusion of the rotation, the fellow will demonstrate substantial progress in a meaningful area of scholarly work, including one or more of the following:
    • Completion or substantial progress in the creation of a research protocol
    • The creation and delivery of a Grand Rounds type presentation
    • The Completion and submission of a research protocol to the governing Institutional Review Board
    • The completion or substantial progress of a paper encompassing either original research or a broad and scholarly review of a topic in critical care
  2. The fellow shall be relieved of clinical responsibility during the rotation, except as shall arise during voluntary extra-fellowship work (‘moonlighting’)
  3. All work hour limits shall be observed, including the time spent moonlighting.
